What are clear aligners?

Clear aligners are removable orthodontic appliances that fit snugly over your teeth. They look similar to a mouthguard and are worn on your upper or lower arch.

Clear aligners are custom-fitted specifically for you. They apply mild pressure to your teeth and jaw, slowly improving their alignment and symmetry. 

What do clear aligners treat?

Dr. Mozayeni uses clear aligners to treat many common conditions, including:

Are there different types of clear aligners?

Dr. Mozayeni offers several types of clear aligners, including:

Invisalign®

Invisalign aligners are the most popular clear aligners available. They’re made of acrylic resin, fit comfortably over your upper or lower teeth, and usually provide results within 18 months.* 

Invisalign is considered the gold standard of aligner treatment and can be prescribed to children, teens, and adults.

Clear Correct®

Clear Correct aligners are 3D printed and much thinner than Invisalign aligners. Their unique design and flexible material make them ideal for treating minor alignment issues, like slightly crooked or misaligned teeth. Similarly, Clear Correct aligners rest higher on your gumline, making them less visible than Invisalign aligners.

Spark®

If you're primarily concerned with aesthetics, Dr. Mozayeni recommends Spark clear aligners. These aligners are made from TruGEN, a synthetic material that’s durable, transparent, and comfortable. These aligners blend in with your teeth and resist stains, allowing for discreet orthodontic treatment.

Does orthodontics with clear aligners take a long time?

Treatment time depends on the severity of the alignment issues addressed and your commitment to Dr. Mozayeni’s treatment plan. Most people achieve a more balanced and symmetrical smile within 18-24 months*, but it may take longer.

For optimal results, Dr. Mozayeni recommends wearing your clear aligners 20-22 hours daily, only removing them to eat and brush and floss. Likewise, she encourages you to attend your scheduled checkups and take good care of your clear aligners.
