How to care for your new braces?

Congrats, we are so happy to hear you’ve taken the steps to straighten your smile!  But we know this step comes with its own challenges. Adjusting to braces can be tricky.  You aren’t used to the brackets and wires or the minor pains that come with moving teeth. And we’re sure the last thing on your mind is how you’re going to keep them clean.  Don’t’ worry we will make sure you are well prepared to take care of your new smile.  It’s as simple floss, brush rise repeat.

Yep, we said it floss your teeth first.  The American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) recommends flossing before you do anything else.  Researchers have found that flossing first may be the most efficient way for removing dental plaque and allowing you to build strong tooth enamel as well as resist decay.  You play a vital role in the care and ease of your Orthodontic treatment. So, make sure you keep your teeth clean.
